Highland Bakery
Highland Bakery, with locations on the corner of Sampson and Highland in the Old Fourth Ward, and on the corner of 14th and Peachtree, is one of Atlanta’s favorite brunch spots.
Serving up muffins, cookies, and all manner of beads, along with a full menu of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items, you can eat at home or spend a relaxing morning reading and eating, and watching the people across the street in the Old Fourth Ward Park.
If you’re feeling adventurous, and in need of walking off a few calories, you can hop onto the Freedom Trail and head to Virginia-Highland, or onto the Beltline and walk the 2.5 miles to Piedmont Park. Of course, you can cycle, too — and if you need a loaner cycle for the day there’s a place you can do that, and it’s just a short walk down Sampson.
