Pelican Pete’s

Pelican Pete’s is a fan favorite for those showing up by boat or car. You can always count on having a good time when you make a pit stop here. Load up on gas and get a frozen cocktail while you wait or dock the boat and come in for nachos, burgers, coconut shrimp and more tasty options. The live music doesn’t hurt, either!

Pig Tales
6800 Lights Ferry Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542
For some of the best BBQ on the lake, you’re gonna want to head to Pig Tales in Flowery Branch. If it’s busy, which it probably is on a sunny day, grab a Mudslide at the bar while you wait for a table and enjoy the scenery. Star off with an order of the frickles or belly bites. For the main course, you can’t go wrong whether it’s the smokin tacos, pulled pork sandwich or the smoked brisket plate, you’re gonna leave here satisfied.

Another lakefront favorite, Skogies promises to always keep it laid back, simple, and delicious. Stop in on Sunday’s for all you can eat brunch! They have all kinds of southern and seafood favorites from chicken salad sandwiches to the classic shrimp po boy. Although it’s easy to forget what day it is in the summer, note that they’re closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Twisted Oar
6900 Lanier Islands Pkwy, Buford, GA 30518
Twisted Oar is on the south side of the lake so it’s a little more convenient for the Atlanta folks to get to if you want to step out of the city for the day. Great food and views can all be expected when you come eat here. Ordering some coconut shrimp is a good way to ensure your meal is off to a delicious start. For the main event go for some fish tacos, the salmon BLT, fish and chips or one of the many other seafood or sandwich options they have.
