Picture this: a spritz in hand, pasta on the way, and a striped umbrella blocking you from the sun. It’s not quite Euro summer, but it’ll do the trick. There’s nothing like kicking back and enjoying a refreshing cocktail and meal with your crew, and doing so on a patio (with fans of course because this is summer in ATL after all). Read on for our list of restaurants where you can dine al fresco, and maybe feel like you’re in Europe for a couple of hours.
Amalfi Cucina & Mercato
3242 Peachtree Rd NE Ste A, Atlanta, GA 30305
It doesn’t get more al fresco than this. Amalfi in Buckhead recently finished up their new and gorgeous patio, just in time for patio season. Get comfortable on their shaded patio and buckle in because you’re in for a treat. On Saturday afternoons you can join them for brunch and enjoy items like their new Aperol Spritz Tower (which comes with 8 spritzes!), eggs Benedict, breakfast pizza and more.

Bastone
887 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Bastone has it all from a gorgeous interior and lovely patio, to incredible menu items and an interesting cocktail list. This spot feels like happy hour all day long, and what’s more European than that? Join Bastone for actual happy hour everyday from 4-6pm and try discounted pastas, boards and beverages. You’ll want to spend all afternoon on their patio sipping a glass of vino.
The Chastain
4320 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30342
We love The Chastain for many, many reasons. A few being their fresh pastries, indelible biscuits, juicy burgers and the outside patio of course. Join them for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you are in for one classy meal. Everything here is served farm to table ensuring every bite is as fresh and tasty as possible. The controversy around their $30 burger is warranted, however it’s delicious and we totally think it’s worth a try.
Delbar
870 Inman Vlg Pkwy NE Suite 1, Atlanta, GA 30307
Delbar is everything you could want out of a restaurant. Incredibly flavorful food, a gorgeous aesthetic, brunch and a lovely outdoor patio. Everything about this place from the menu to the decor comes from Persian and Middle Eastern influences. This is a great place for groups to dine because you can just order a few different meat options, a few spreads, some rice and veggies and feast! The outside patio is just as dreamy as the interior, but you may want to make a reservation because this Inman Park spot is always busy.
Fritti
309 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307
Making a stop at Fritti on North Highland is always going to be a good idea. This menu has more pizza options than you’ll know what to do with. In my humble opinion, the perfect way to dine here is to order a caesar salad and a Speck e Rucola pizza and split it with your bestie. And for dessert, an espresso martini always does the trick! In the summer and fall they’ll open up the garage doors on the patio for a super comfortable atmosphere.
Forza Storico
1198 Howell Mill Rd #020, Atlanta, GA 30318
If you haven’t tried Forza Storico, this is your sign! Located in West Midtown right below Jeni’s and Little Sparrow, this is the Italian restaurant of your dreams. Their freshly made pasta is delicious, they offer half priced wine on Tuesday and their patio is to die for. The cacio e pepe is a classic but other options like the Rigatoni al Sugo di Coda and Pasta Alla Papalina always hit the spot. Talk about spritzes and striped umbrellas!
Gio’s Chicken
1099 Hemphill Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Little Italia in West Midtown is made up of a handful of classic Italian restaurants and Gio’s is one of them. Don’t be intimidated by the menu here (the whole thing is in Italian). If you tell them what you like, they’ll give you a great recommendation of what to order. They will 99% of the time suggest the lemon chicken, and for good reason. The flavor of this dish is out of this world, and the portions are terrific so you can enjoy it again for lunch the next day. Get a bottle of wine and sit outside with a few friends and enjoy this lovely spot!
