7 Refreshing Cocktail Recipes To Try This Summer
Have you had a chance to check out our new YouTube show, “The Mix?” We’ve had a blast exploring show stopping cocktail recipes with our hosts, Julie and Phil. In case you’ve missed it, here are some of our favorite cocktail recipes we’ve explored so far, ready for you to try at home! (Step by step recipe and ingredients can be found in the YouTube description as well as linked in the title of each drink.)
1. Boozy Blueberry Mint Rye Lemonade
WhistlePig’s rye whiskey is the perfect complement to the sweeter flavors and ingredients of this boozy lemonade. Sip these poolside as we continue into the dog days of summer.
2. Charred Blood Orange Whiskey Sour
Whiskey and non-whiskey lovers alike will love this Charred Blood Orange Whiskey Sour recipe. Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey from Jack Daniels is filtered twice through a sugary maple charcoal – once before it goes into the cask and once before it goes into the bottle.
3. Chili Lime Margarita
Everyone loves a great margarita, but this recipe adds something special to your usual drink with a chili lime salt rim. It’s perfect for your next fiesta or or Taco Tuesday night or anytime, really!
4. Urban Bourbon Manhattan
It may be called a “Manhattan,” but we think Kentucky bourbon whisky is the best stuff for it. Here’s our take on a classic Manhattan drink with Bardstown Bourbon as the star to this drink.
5. Woodford Spire
Woodford Reserve bourbon gets a hit of tartness and citrus that makes it perfectly refreshing on a hot day. It’s an awesome blend of sweet, sour and smoky. Fun fact: this drink is an official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby!
6. Ruby Red Paloma
Citrus and booze are a match made in heaven, guaranteed to put you in the right SPIRIT. Break out your Herradura Silver Tequila and add in some Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit for a refreshing paloma to quench your thirst.
7. Spanish Gin & Tonic
Sprigs of thyme and fresh berries make this “gin & tonic” totally showstopping and delicious, too. Fords Gin is our preferred gin for this drink as well as Fever-Tree’s tonic water.
