Atlanta is quickly becoming known for its incredible breweries around the city from West Midtown to the Beltline. Check out this list with some of our favorite breweries based on the vibe, the food, and of course the brews, listed in no particular order.
1. Bold Monk Brewing Co.

It’s big, it’s beautiful and it’s close to so many other breweries making it the perfect spot to add to your day of brewery hopping. Bold Monk is the perfect brewery year round because they have plenty of seating inside with upstairs and downstairs areas as well as some lovely outdoor space. The interior has a moody, classy vibe. And they serve some great food options alongside the brews. Check them out for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch!
2. Firemaker Brewing
975 Chattahoochee Ave NW Suite A, Atlanta, GA 30318
Firemaker is one of the beloved West Midtown breweries. The interior is fairly small but the outside patio has tons of space to pull up a seat and hang with friends. They are constantly hosting fun events throughout the week like trivia, yoga pop up’s and more! This is a great spot to check out for beer lovers, and they always have a rotation of new brews on tap to try!
3. Scofflaw Brewing Co.

Scofflaw is your no frills, super chill brewery. Come hang out for a beer after work or spend your Saturday afternoon here, it’s always a good time. With plenty of space inside and a lovely outside patio with picnic tables and string lights overhead, you’ll want to sit and enjoy their many brews all day long. Be sure to check out their sister brewery, Dr. Scofflaw’s at The Works! And once you’ve had enough beer, head over to the Chattahoochee Food Works Food Hall for some grub.
4. New Realm

Location, Location, Location! New Realm is very popular on the ATL brewery scene because it is right on the Beltline. Whether this is the first or last stop of your day on the Beltline, you’re gonna have a good time. They’ve got it all from pale ales, lagers, Belgian-style beers, fruit beers and more. Another perk of New Realm is the pretty extensive food menu they’ve got going on. If you just want a bite, try the Asian-style loaded fries or the hand twisted Bavarian pretzel. If you’re coming by for a meal, the hand pressed cuban sandwich and the buffalo chicken pizza absolutely hit the spot.
5. Steady Hand Beer Co.

With 20+ beers on tap, beer lovers of all kinds are sure to be a fan of this spot. You can always catch something fun going on here like when they have live music, trivia nights and various pop up’s. The outdoor space here is awesome and very cozy with string lights hanging overhead giving all the Summertime vibes. This is also a very cool place if you have an event coming up and need a spot to host it, Steady Hand will hook you up.
6. Hippin Hops

Georgia’s first Black-owned brewery has been rockin’ in East Atlanta Village for a few years now. Hang out on their patio with your pup or indoors and listen to, you guessed it, all your favorite hip-hop tunes. Something that stands out about Hippin Hops is that their menu features more than just the standard brewpub fare! Sip on your IPA alongside some chargrilled oysters or munch on some poboys with your seltzer. Their peachy sour is also a true crowdpleaser. What’s not to love?!

Pour has 3 poppin’ locations around the city, one in West Midtown, on the Beltline and in Midtown. With a serve yourself concept, you can get what you want when you want! If you’re new to the beer world, this is a very cool spot because you can try as many different kinds of brews as you want to figure out what you like. This spot also keeps the fun alive all week long with events like music bingo, trivia, college sports days, and more. Be sure to come hungry too, because with things like fried mac and cheese balls, BBQ bacon smash burgers, buffalo chicken wraps and more, you’re gonna want to try more than just the brews here.
8. Eventide Brewing

Eventide is keepin’ things simple, just how we like our breweries. This Grant Park spot is the perfect weekend or afterwork hang, and you can bring the whole fam if you want. Eventide is a kid and pup friendly spot so you don’t have to worry about leaving anyone at home. The patio is great and you can always count on something fun going on like live music or trivia. And if you get hungry here, there’s always a different pop-up so you can expect to try new food and brews every time you visit.
9. Monday Night Brewing

If you haven’t been, this brewery is soon to become one of your favorite places. With fun events always going on like trivia and Throwback Thursday’s, you can’t say no to this one! Monday Night Brewing is nothing short of a great time. The cans are covered in colorful designs, and filled with “balanced, flavorful ales that pair well with food.” When it comes to the food, they’ve got some delicious wood-fired pizza which we all know goes great with beer. They’ve got locations in West Midtown and over in West End next to a few other amazing Lee Street breweries.
10. Sweetwater Brewing Company

Home of the iconic Sweetwater 420, is the Sweetwater Brewing Company. With their amazing year round brews, as well as the fun seasonal choices, they will definitely have something for you to enjoy! So grab a beer and make sure to try one of their several shareables, like the crispy smoked pork belly, or pair the 420 Strain with their Phatty Grilled Cheese! Between the outside patio, good bites and awesome beer, it’s hard not to love this spot.
11. Arches Brewing
3361 Dogwood Dr, Hapeville, GA 30354
Hapeville is home to another one of Atlanta’s best breweries. This is a no frills spot and is all about good beer. They have plenty of indoor space to chill out and sip on a couple cold ones, but they have a ton of patio space out back. On a nice day, there’s few places better than sitting outside at Arches, playing corn hole, and enjoying the lovely weather. Something unique about Arches is that they feature local artist’s work throughout the brewery so if you love to paint, you may want to see if you could get some of your work hung up here!
12. Reformation Brewery
6255 Riverview Rd SE building 4000 suite 200, Smyrna, GA 30126
Reformation actually has three locations, but Smyrna is closest for our Atlanta folks. If you ever find yourself driving north though, the original location is in Canton, GA and the second is in Woodstock. The Smyrna Reformation entered the scene a little over three years ago as the first brewery in Smyrna! It’s right on the river making this the perfect summer hang out spot. Each location has a packed calendar of events from Thirsty Thursday and music bingo to trivia and various weekly specials.
13. Good Word Brewing & Public House

Obviously we’re here to highlight the beer, which we’ll get to, but there’s a ton of cool stuff happening here we have to talk about! This brewery in Downtown Duluth has a very cool and comfortable interior where you’ll feel like you can just eat and drink all afternoon, and don’t forget about the covered patio. The food and beverage program here are no joke. If you just want something snacky for the table, try the beer cheese fries or maybe the burrata. Mains include all kinds of delicious sandwiches along with steak frites, wings, bucatini and more. What makes this spot stand out is they serve brunch as well! Come in for their freshly made biscuits each weekend and perfectly paired brunch cocktails. Oh yes, and their beer is very good, come get it every day of the week besides Monday.

Round Trip is known for serving up all kinds of German beer. With locations in both West Midtown and East Cobb, good beer is never too hard to find. This brewery is quite roomy and perfect for hosting all kinds of things from birthday parties to corporate events. The West Midtown location is also apart of the Westside Ale Trail! There is a free bus every other Sunday that will take you from brewery to brewery all over West Midtown!
