1. Chido & Padre’s
128 E Andrews Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30305
This place is patio goals. With so many margarita flavors, an irresistible happy hour 5-7pm on weekdays, and tons of cheesy dips and guac to soak up that tequila with? We’re sold. Be sure to try the birria quesatacos here. Another sleeper hit? The grilled shrimp caesar salad. It’s perfectly dressed!
2. Fado Irish Pub
Multiple Locations
Make like the Irish and enjoy yourself a midday pint. For a casual spot to watch your favorite team play, a surprisingly robust and tasty food menu, and a perfectly poured Guinness, Fado Irish Pub is just the ticket. Their Midtown location has an excellent patio, and we love the cozy chill vibe of the Buckhead location. Whether you go with a group of friends or not, the whole bar can totally become your group for the night due to the always friendly atmosphere!
3. Fetch Park
Multiple Locations
Not a lot of things better in life than barks and brews. Bring your pup to Fetch Park for a day of sippin’ and sunshine. There is a full bar to enjoy, and the prices are reasonable. You can also *totally* go sans dog just to enjoy and pet some pups, too–it’s definitely A.O.K. and how I got my serotonin fix before I got my own pup! They’re also great for trivia! Be aware that if you do bring your pup along, it will need a pretty full list of vaccinations.
4. Fin & Feathers
360 Edgewood Ave SE Atlanta, GA 30312
This Edgewood soul food spot turns into a total day party on the weekends, so if you want to go all out, it’s an excellent option! They have DJs on the weekends spinning all your favorite R&B and hip-hop tunes. If hookah smoke bothers you, however, you should pick somewhere else to dine.
5. Gypsy Kitchen
6. HOBNOB Atlantic Station
245 18th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363
HOBNOB has been a beloved neighborhood restaurant in Atlanta for years, and we think their Atlantic Station location is particularly idyllic for an afternoon of sipping. Enjoy for a beverage under their orange umbrellas or atop their patio. Go for a shop and stroll afterwards!
7. Ladybird
8. Ms Icey’s Kitchen & Bar
1371 Clairmont Rd, Atlanta, GA 30033
For a brunch spot with allll the day party vibes, check out Ms. Icey’s Kitchen & Bar! They’re tucked away in a particularly delicious strip in Decatur (check out the Po Boy Shoppe and the wings at Brew and Bird some time, too). They often have a DJ, and the skillet cornbread is simply life changing.
9. Pour Taproom
Multiple Locations
For beer lovers, Pour Taproom is unmatched! It’s an excellent place to just put your feet up and hang and choose from a huuuge selection of beer. Visit them in Midtown, on the Beltline, or at the Interlock.
10. Rooftop LOA
11. Superica
Multiple Locations
There is just something about salsa, chips, and an ice cold marg that just scream ~day drinking.~ Superica is perfect for an afternoon lounging and sipping. They’ve gotten so popular there’s locations all around town and even in other cities around the USA now, but we especially love their original Old Fourth Ward location for people watching and patio hanging.
12. El Tesoro
13. Tucker Brewing Company
2003 S Bibb Dr, Tucker, GA 30084
Any Atlanta brewery is awesome for day drinking, but we do especially love Tucker Brewing! They have a fun menu of bar bites + Greek inspired food. The huge salted pretzel is a must! They open around 4pm on weekdays but if you want to hang out and knock back a few brews on a weekend afternoon, they are ideal!
14. Tuza Taco
1523 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Another amazing patio + margarita option is Tuza Taco in West Midtown! Diners love their pork belly tacos and the house margarita comes STRONG! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a pitcher. There is free parking as well, though if you get that aforementioned pitcher you may want to uber!
15. Victory Sandwich Bar
Multiple Locations
Scrumptious sandwiches are definitely the perfect pairing for an ice cold beer. This spot has been a popular hangout for years, and their sandwiches, though small, are stupid cheap! Parking is a pain so be aware of that.
