Atlanta’s Favorite Food Trucks And Food Truck Parks (And Where To Find Them)
Your next great meal is being cooked up right now–on wheels! These food trucks are pulling out all the stops and WHEEL always give great food a try, whether it’s at a restaurant or a taco stand or a fantastic food truck! Here are some of Atlanta’s best food trucks. Food trucks listed in alphabetical order.
Bankhead Seafood
An iconic staple in Atlanta, Bankhead Seafood was family-owned and operated for more than 50 years. They recently shuttered their doors in 2018 and were immediately scooped up for purchase by Killer Mike and T.I. to save this Atlanta favorite. Their brick and mortar location is still being renovated but you can find their food truck all over town, including regularly posted up at Triton Yards and Greenbrier Mall!
The Bento Bus
Next time you see this truck, order one of their rice bowls immediately and thank us later. This food truck is serving up fusion Japanese-inspired cuisine to the delight of Atlantans everywhere. We’re not sure what’s in their “signature sauce,” but it makes everything addictingly tasty. They’re often on Georgia Tech’s campus around lunchtime; follow them on Facebook to see where they’ll be next!
The Blaxican
Soul food + Mexican = Blaxican magic! This food truck has a devoted following and even was named the top food truck in the country by a 2015 contest in Mobile Cuisine. You’re going to go crazy for their Mexican tacos–the al pastor and BBQ steak are some of the the best–and their soulful sides like their baked mac and cheese and BBQ sweet fries. They now also have a restaurant open in Peachtree Corners for you lucky OTPers!
Cafe Bourbon Street
Cajun food lovers rejoice! Cafe Bourbon Street is “Real New Orleans Food, By A New Orleans Family.” While we’ve got no love for the Saints, the food and flavors coming from New Orleans are top tier and Cafe Bourbon Street does it all so well. From po boys to beignets to jambalaya egg rolls, they’ve got it all. Find them in Triton Yards Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Cousin’s Maine Lobster
If you love lobster a whole lot, this is the food truck for you. Lobster tail and tots, lobster BLT, lobster tacos, lobster mac and cheese, lobster rolls–you can find it all here and even add extra lobster to any dish. Find this food truck parked in Lenox Square most days.
The Daily Sopapilla
You can find this food truck roaming around the southside of Atlanta! This food truck is serving up authentic New Mexico Sopapilla tacos–a pastry that is delightfully puffy, deep fried and absolutely delicious–paired with perfectly seasoned maple smoked chicken, pork, and beef that incorporates New Mexican green and red chiles. Finish off your meal with some honey puffs.
GAS Food Truck
This vegan food truck is brand-new and serving “good azz sandwiches & more” all over ATL! Vegan food lovers will delight in the ATL Shawty hot dog served with two bean chili, grilled onions, slaw, not-cho cheese sauce and the hot boxed un-lobstah roll. Follow their Instagram to see where they’ll be next!
Meatballerz
While meatballs might be what they do best, Meatballerz also has great pizza, garlic knots, and other Italian faves. Their “Skinny Italian” turkey meatballs are also a delicious option that’s lighter on calories but full of flavor thanks to the touch of fennel they add. Find them at Truck and Tap in Alpharetta!
Paige’s Pastries
New Year’s Resolutions who?? Paige’s Pastries is the perfect place to be for your next cheat meal. From a majorly tempting “Jack’d Up On Mac Burger” to their “The Peach Cobbler Smackdown Chicken and Waffle,” it’s all worth the calorie splurge. Find them at Triton Yards!
WTF! Food Truck
Great Atlanta spots like Cafe Sunflower and Slutty Vegan first proved to us that vegan food does not have to be boring, but if you need further proof, then just look at what they’re cooking up at WTF! (Wonderful Tasting Food) Food Truck. This ain’t veggie bowl–it’s vegan fast food that’s a glorious sight to behold. Find them posted up in Triton Yards or the Howell Mill Food Truck Park most days.
Yumbii
Fusion food often gets a bad rep and we don’t get why. Especially when fusion creates amazing creations like Korean BBQ style chicken tacos, sriracha queso nachos, and Asian rib-eye beef quesadillas. You can visit their brick and mortar locations in Toco Hills and Brookwood Hills or book their food truck for your next event. Be sure to also check out their newest sister restaurant concept, The Queso Truck!
