Follow the giant fish to find lobster roll perfection. The cold, Maine style mayo-based roll is perfection according to our host/founder and Boston native, Steak Shapiro, while the hot and buttery roll is fabulous for those who prefer it that style. Plus the fries that come with?! Perfection! Something else that’s unexpectedly great at Atlanta Fish Market is the sushi! 

2. Big B’s Fish Joint

This family-friendly  spot in Sandy Springs has some amazing fried fish at great prices, and their lobster roll melts in your mouth. It’s fresh, hot, and extra buttery, and available on UberEats, too!

Another Chef Ford Fry spot, Beetlecat has one of the best patios in Inman Park and the best lobster rolls all over Atlanta. One hidden and unexpected gem: their brunch menu. Their glazed donuts are insane!

5. Cousin’s Maine Lobster

If you love lobster a whole lot, this is the food truck for you. Lobster tail and tots, lobster BLT, lobster tacos, lobster mac and cheese, lobster rolls–you can find it all here and even add extra lobster to any dish. Find this food truck parked in Lenox Square most days as well as at the Marietta Square Market.

6. Fontaine’s Oyster House

Fontaine’s Oyster House in Virginia Highlands is everything you want in a neighborhood spot, with an added plus of fun New Orleans vibes.Their lobster roll is not a traditional New England style roll–it’s more like a poh boy and served on a hoagie with lettuce–but they really don’t skimp on the portions of lobster. Their back patio is awesome!

7. Hippin Hops Brewery

This new East Atlanta brewery–the first Black-owned one to operate Georgia–sets itself apart from the rest with a menu that’s not messing around. Case in point: their buttery lobster roll, light on the mayo and chilled. You’ll also love their fries, and of course their brewskies with a potent selection of stouts and IPAs. 

8. Hook Line & Schooner

Hook Line & Schooner in Smyrna is a truly excellent family-friendly spot with fresh seafood every which way you can imagine. They’ve got crazy good peel-and-eat shrimp, over-the-top desserts, and a buttery lobster roll that we dream about. They’ve got great specials all the time and another added bonus: their patio is also dog-friendly!

9. The Optimist

Chef Ford Fry’s The Optimist has been a stylish West Midtown favorite for their fresh seafood, and their lobster roll never disappoints. Their patio is open as well at this time. Get an order of their hushpuppies too!

10. Smith’s Gourmet Creations

For a different spin on a lobster roll, how about trying this food truck’s fried lobster roll? You’ll have to get in your car to chase after their pop-ups, but their spin on lobster makes it worth it!

11. Steamhouse Lounge

Steamhouse Lounge in Midtown is always a party! They’re just as great for drinks as they are for food, and their dog-friendly patio is great, too. Their lobster roll is served the traditional New England way with a side of melted butter. For a truly magnificent meal, order their creamy and highly addicting lobster bisque too!
