7 Hot, New Restaurants Just Opened Up in Atlanta

Cafe I Am
New to happening Sandy Springs, Cafe I Am is bringing you a taste of Europe! The interior is cute as a button in clean, crisp white. You can sample tasty salads, soups, and sandwiches and great espresso offerings, using organic ingredients from local sources. Make sure to also ask for Chef Miguel’s “off the menu” special dessert!
Louisiana Bistreaux
The famed East Point cajun spot has now expanded to Buckhead! You can find affordable cajun cuisine here that’s packed with flavor. The ribeye topped with crawfish is not to be missed–so buttery, so saucy, and so decadent. Perfect for business lunches, Louisiana Bistreaux in Buckhead also has a great outdoor patio once the weather starts to warm up again! Located near the Rooms to Go.
The Sugar Factory
All your childhood dreams come true at this sugary sweet new spot in Midtown! This social media hot spot will have you feeling like a kid in a candy store. While you’re there, check out the floor-to-ceiling candy wall with 500+ sweet treats and novelty candy! Order up one of their insane, over-the-top milkshakes or rainbow sliders. Celebrating a birthday? Their King Kong Sundae might be just the ticket. It features 24 scoops of ice cream! The staff will make you feel super special–they are pros at special occasions.
Four Fat Cows
New to Buckhead! Four Fat Cows just opened up another location this past October in Buckhead, with imaginative flavors such as brown butter peanut butter cookie, vanilla nectarine goat cheese, and pancakes and bacon! And for the holidays, they’ve also got some great winter flavors like egg nog and a pumpkin blondie. Try the peppermint bark–it’s our favorite!
Chirori
New to West Midtown, Chirori is an authentic Japanese charcoal grilling restaurant with certified sake sommeliers. This upscale restaurant blends the art of robata with the art of pairing sake for a mindblowingly tasty meal. Some menu favorites include the Sukiyaki, made with ribeye beef, a sake broth, quail egg, and parmesan cheese and the Truffle Crab Chawanmushi, made with snow crab, truffle anake, and shiitake mushroom. Finish your night with the yuzu cheesecake!
Hell Yeah Gluten Free
New to Dekalb Avenue, this “sassy, lady-owned” little shop is baking up a storm for all the gluten-free needs of ATLiens. Sourdough donuts, cream puffs, gorgeous hand-decorated cakes, and a perfectly cheesy breakfast sandwich will make even you non-gluten-free folks salivate. Just look at their Instagram! Important to note: there isn’t any seating as this is more of a pick-up spot, so make a bakery run soon and pick up enough baked goodness for the whole week!
