This Saturday 8/23 we’re talking to JCT Kitchen’s chef E.J. Hodgkinson about their upcoming dinner 8/27 inspired by author Rebekka Makkai’s novel “The Hundred-Year House”. If you love ice cream (who doesn’t) you’ll love Keith Schroder from Atlanta based High Road Craft Ice Cream.  The crew from Pastry Live will be in to talk about their event and finally we’ll talk to Chuck Reece the founder the fantastic Bitter Southerner.  All of this and food news on this week’s Atlanta Eats Radio!

Each Saturday from 11am to 1pm on 640 WGST, one of Atlanta’s favorite media personalities & lifelong foodies Mara Davis tracks down some of Atlanta’s juiciest burgers and coolest patios, finds the gyro in town you have to try and the steak & cheese that reminds you of home. Atlanta Eats Radio talks to chefs, owners, bloggers and diners about one of the coolest restaurant scenes in the country! There’s always something to savor on Atlanta Eats Radio!

The Host

Born in New York and raised in Miami, Mara Davis has called Atlanta home for almost 20 years. A personality known for her humor, honesty and love of pop culture, she came to Atlanta for classic rock station, Z-93 which became Dave-FM. Since the last DaveFM broadcast, Mara joined Atlanta Eats TV as a co-host and hosts Atlanta Eats radio, a weekly talk show on the Atlanta food scene and beyond.  She has kept herself involved in Atlanta happenings, from regular spots on HLN and CNN to emceeing events for AID Atlanta, PALS (Pets Are Loving Support), Kate’s Club, The Atlanta Humane Society, Quality Care for Children, Taste of Atlanta and the Atlanta Film Festival.  She’s also a music contributor for Atlanta’s NPR station, 90.1 WABE.
