Abbreviated by locals to VaHi, charming renovated homes and a bustling boutique scene typify this neighborhood located just minutes from The Fox Theater, sports venues, and Piedmont Park. And restaurants? You’ll find everything from breakfast to BBQ in Virginia Highland.

Breakfast
American Roadhouse – Specializing in all things breakfasty, the Roadhouse has served eggs, bacon, and all the fixin’s for over twenty years. Try an egg white omelette and wheat toast after your morning run, or the whole hog omelette with a buttermilk biscuit to cure a hangover.

Brunch
Murphy’s – Another neighborhood staple serving upscale American cuisine. Famous for their brunch, lines often run out the door and across the parking lot. Don’t miss their sunrise frittata.

Lunch
Yeah! Burger – Virginia Highland is home to the second location of Shaun Doty’s popular burger spot, serving hormone-free proteins with organic toppings, and gluten-free buns and sides. Oh, and yeah! They are juicy and delicious too.

Coffee
Java Jive – Take a seat at one of the 1950’s formica dining tables at this retro inspired diner and order a strong cup of joe and perhaps a plate of soft scrambled eggs with basil and cream cheese.

Take the Kids
Osteria 832 – Kids and parents love pizza! Strollers outnumber stilettos at this family friendly pizzeria that offers thin crust artisan pies and s’ghetti for the little ones.

Take a Date
Babette’s Cafe – One of Atlanta’s most romantic restaurants, Babette’s is located in a renovated bungalow with creaky wood flooring and original vintage fixtures. Chef Marla Adams’s French inspired dishes will wow your date, especially the dried cherry tart for dessert.

Take the Boss
Highland Tap – Its subterranean location and meat-heavy menu gives this place a true man-cave feel. They make the perfect gin martini (OK, they’ll make one with vodka too) served with a sidecar. Old-school impressive.

After Work Cocktails
Noche – An inviting bar greets guests at this fun spot in the heart of the neighborhood. An array of tapas are easy to share while sipping Texas margaritas, after a long day working…or shopping.

Dinner
Goin’ Coastal – Fresh, sustainable seafood paired with hearty sides like jalapeno cornbread pudding is featured at this cozy favorite within walking distance of many trendy boutiques and conveniently located next door to Paolo’s Gelato for dessert.

After Hours
Atkins Park – This Virginia Highland staple has an enormous bar and private booths, perfect for an after dinner drink or late night bite, like their great cheeseburger and fries.

Entertainment
Blind Willie’s – Among a handful of intimate venues in the neighborhood, this one features live blues. Try the Dark Horse Tavern down the block for a more rock ‘n’ roll vibe.
