btwalw_600x400

Some may think all we do at Atlanta Eats’ HQ is eat, but to us, it’s just another busy day on the job. We’re highlighting the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead — and we’re focusing on the heavier dishes we had in preparation for our future Thanksgiving food comas this Thursday. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Fried Chicken from Table and Main (Roswell)

A local restaurant focused on upscale Southern classics, Table and Main serves simple and seasonal cuisine in a restored homestead on Canton Street in downtown Roswell. The welcoming hospitality and delicious comfort food make this hidden gem really stand out. An AE team favorite is the Fried Chicken. Included within the AJC’s June 2016 Best Fried Chicken within Atlanta accolade, the all-natural chicken is fried to perfection and served with the guest’s choice of side. It’s a great southern classic that will have diners coming back to enjoy again.

Macaroni and Cheese from Fat Matt’s (Atlanta)

We know the spots with the cheesiest, crave-worthy mac n cheese, and Fatt Matt’s take on the classic side is off the charts. Lots of and milk and butter smothering noodles cooked to perfection with a plentiful amount of cheese, we’re salivating just thinking about the incredible combination. The side is the perfect accompaniment to any of the entrees on the menu.

Ivy Blue Chips from The Ivy Buckhead (Buckhead)

Crispy, homemade chips speak loudly to us, and when we tried The Ivy’s interpretation of the starter, we were instantly mesmerized. Smothered in blue cheese, applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese dressing and garnished with chives, this appetizer is a lush way to begin a meal at the sophisticated yet casual bar. The portion is plentiful, so there is plenty of goodness to go around for a larger group to enjoy.
