Best Things We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

The “Prime Time” Filet & Lobster Roll from The Cowfish (Dunwoody)

Something over-the-top, outrageous and completely unique has landed in the heart of Dunwoody- Cowfish. As a first timer, an experimental order is a must. The menu section “Burgushi” aka the combination of burger/steak + sushi is a great place to start. The “Prime Time” roll is tastefully indulgent with lobster and filet mignon. Next time, we’re going to try a Bento box with burgers and sushi all on one dish!

Pizzas from Atwoods Pizzeria (Midtown)

The founders of Hearth Pizza Tavern have expanded their pizza influence all the way from Sandy Springs out to Midtown. Their specialty is pizza loaded up with quality ingredients and heaps of toppings (no skimping here!) but they are also breaking through the status quo of breakfast. From breakfast pizza with daily changing toppings to bread pudding French toast, creativity is key. We loved everything we tasted- including this Zucca with roasted butternut squash, kale, caramelized onion, pancetta, fior di latte, mozzarella and rosemary oil.

Steak & Potato from Chops (Buckhead)

We hear it’s healthier to eat a heavy lunch than dinner, so we followed suit at Chops. Their lunch special of “Steak & Idaho” consists of sliced beef tenderloin stuffed inside a thick-cut onion ring AND a loaded baked potato with sour cream, cheese, bacon and chives. Huge portions, huge flavor and the perfect way to create your own #steakcation.

Pasta Primavera from Pinocchios (Sandy Springs)

Pinocchios’ Pasta Primavera is the most colorful dinner we’ve ever ordered! Broccoli, purple cabbage, squash, peppers and peas are tossed in a savory white wine sauce makes you feel healthy…even when you finish this large-portioned bowl in a matter of minutes. Try adding shrimp to customize your bowl. Stay tuned for Pinocchios’ segment on Atlanta Eats in the next couple of weeks!

Bucatini Carbonara from Cibo e Beve Italian Kitchen & Bar (Sandy Springs)

Cibo e Beve’s Carbonara is gorgeous, delicious and as rich as it gets. The creative presentation with a lone egg yolk nestled between a nest of Bucatini (also known as “thick spaghetti”) gives you a hint how much time and care is put into this dish. If you’re a Carbonara lover, this is the place to get it. Cibo e Beve is airing on Atlanta Eats soon- look out for updates!
