BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Sausage Sundae at Turner Field (Downtown)

Baseball has turned up the food game with indulgent eats at every concession stand. One item that cannot be missed: the Sausage Sundae at Smokehouse BBQ. Get the Bayer ready because this basket is as over-the-top as it gets. A sausage is split and set up just as an ice cream sundae would be- loaded with 3 scoops and topped with a cherry (tomato). A scoop of mashed potatoes, pulled pork and mac n cheese fill the platter and are doused in BBQ sauce…it may be a good idea to share this dish with a friend…or 5.

Bocado’s Pimento Cheese Sandwich (West Midtown)

In the spirit of The Masters tournament, everyone we know was craving a pimento cheese sandwich. Classically composed of pimento cheese smushed between two slices of white bread, Bocado takes it up a notch. Their pimento cheese is accessorized with bacon, roasted poblano peppers and fried green tomatoes. This is sure to be one of the best southern sandwiches ever concocted. Watch our recipe video here.

Reuben from Norman’s Landing (Cumming)

The one good thing New Jersey has is good taste in pastrami. Owner of Norman’s Landing, Bill Norman, goes to great lengths in order to ship this in several days a week just to create their signature Reuben. This type of care and attention goes into every menu item at Norman’s Landing. No matter what you order, it is going to be fresh, insanely delicious and served just the way you like it.
