A Taste of Cuba in the Old Fourth Ward.
When a guy whose name is Steak describes a fresh-cut fruit cup as “mouthwatering,” you know it’s gonna be good. Get your fruit-and-veggie on properly at Lottafrutta.
Located in the heart of the Old Fourth Ward, LottaFrutta Gourmet Fruit House and Market serves up (you guessed it) a lot of fruit. Of course they’ve got the classics, but it’s the more exotic options that make this spot so hot, like the surprisingly spicy Limonatta fruit cup, which combines cantaloupe, coconut, cucumber, pineapple, watermelon, mango and papaya with fresh limejuice and the owner’s signature spicy chile guajilo. Now that’s-a one spicy fruit cup.
But this place isn’t just a fruit-and-veggie show. The menu features Cuban-inspired grilled “sanduches,” salads, smoothies, ice pops, coffee and desayuno in the mornings.
